WAR UPDATE: Coup in Philosostan Successful. New Republic formed.

ARSTOTZKAN CAPITOL DISTRICT - Yesterday on September 28th, four officers of the Joint Allied Response Defense Battalions, 25th Special Infantry Company, along with 20 irregulars of the Philosostan People's Front (a unregulated militia led by the President of Philosostan) led an bloodless coup against the Imperial Regional Commission of Philosostan, while the former Governor General and now President was absent.

The coup lasted 7 minutes and was hugely successful for the Commonwealth Forces. The officers of the JARDAB formed the Commonwealth Civil Administration of Philosostan and helped the President form an independent republic.

The Declaration of Independence of the Philosostan Federal Republic is expected to be released later today and will officially create the Philosostan Federal Republic ending Empire rule over the disputed region.

With the fall of Philosostan to the Commonwealth, the Empire is losing ground quickly. The remaining territory the Empire claims is quickly diminishing with His Basketball Court being the last independent Empire territory left, that is known to the Commonwealth.

In a press release to media following the coup, General Secretary of the CCAP, Ethan Brinkman stated that "The end of Empire control over Philosostan markes a major foothold for the Commonwealth over the CDR. Similar to the Battle of the Point it soilifies our control over the Commonwealth Defense Region and our strength as independent nations. Let this be remembered in history as a complete victory."
