TE WHAKAPAIPAI - In a mid-day address to the Executive Committee, the First President announced that Krysinyy Ostrov Territory, also known as Rat Island will remain under Arstotzkan Sovereignty.
Two-weeks ago the Arstotzkan Federal Government launched a legal investigation into the legality of the Empire of Benereich takeover of the island in November 2022. It found that it violated international law and the Philosostan Convention.
Today the Executive Committee met online to discuss a motion relating to the finds of the report. The Minister of Justice announced that the report found the invasion to be illegal and that the Arstotzkan Federal Government should "be implored to seek legal justice in the case of a blatant violation of protected Arstotzkan sovereignty."
The Executive Committee has formed a legal council and will be taking the Empire of the Benereich to the Coalition of Micronations Court of Criminal Justice (CMCCJ) as well as the Supreme Federal Court. Here the Arstotzkan Federal Government will argue its case to the world as to why it sees the actions of the Empire illegal.
Meanwhile, a new Act of Assembly is waiting for assentation from the Office of the Presidency. The Arstotzkan Territorial Sovereignty Act 2023 is a new Act of Assembly that establishes that the Arstotzkan Union and Ward Empire are the only legitimate pillars of sovereignty over the island.
